- Sepia-toned photographic print taken from an elevated position above Jefferson Avenue, facing northwest looking down Griswold Street. Signs are posted along the street of businesses which include Baird and West Brokers, Importers, and Manufacturers Agents, Van Leyen and Hensler Photo-Etching, Designing, and Wood Engraving, and a Postal Telegraph Office. The electric Myrtle streetcar is visible in the center of the photo, sharing the street with pedestrians and horse carriages. A moonlight tower rises above the intersection with East Larned Street.

Printed on verso: Griswold Street, The Wall Street of Detroit, Mich. Griswold Street is one block west of Woodward Avenue and is the Wall Street of Detroit, being lined on either side with office buildings. The two high buildings are the Ford and Dime Bank Buildings, the highest and largest office buildings in Detroit. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Sep 15, 1915.

- Mounted black and white photograph taken of the ruins of Capitol High School following its fire on January 27, 1893, as viewed from an elevated positioned across Griswold Street to the southwest. Icicles hang from the building's facade and surrounding utility lines, and rubble has settled around its base. A ladder apparatus, and a fire engine are on Griswold, near the northeastern end of the building. Several figures dot the streets. The sign for the Griswold Street Theatre is visible on the right edge of the frame. A moonlight tower is visible down State Street on the left edge of the frame. The photo is mounted on a cardboard backing, with the following handwritten on the verso: Jan 27, 1893 Detroit Central High School Fire 18 Engine Companies in the Dept. - Color postcard depicting the Union Trust and Hammond Buildings from the corner of Griswold and Congress Streets. Printed on verso: Union Trust and Hammond Buildings. Two of the best known office structures in the city are shown in this picture, the Union Trust Building in the foreground, and the Hammond Building on the left. The former is one of the solidest structures in the city, and was finished in 1896 at a cost of $500,000. It is owned by the company whose name it bears. It has two marble stairways and includes 250 suites of offices. The two buildings occupy the entire frontage on Griswold St. between Fort and Congress. Handwritten message on verso reads, "I think you are a fraud." Postmarked from Sept. 22, 1920. "No. 221 Published by A.C. Dietsche, Detroit, Mich. Printed in Germany'" is printed along the left edge of the verso.

- Print containing three engravings, taken from the booklet, Souvenir of Detroit & Exposition, depicting sites in downtown Detroit. The top is captioned "Jefferson Avenue south from Woodward." A streetcar, perpendicular to the tracks is in the center of the road. "James Nall, Carpets" is printed on a building on right side of the street. Set into this image is one of the Chamber of Congress within a frame drawn to resemble a piece of paper hung with nails. The bottom image is captioned, "Griswold Street from Jefferson Avenue." The Campau Block on the west side of Griswold and the Newberry and McMillan Building on the east side are both labeled. A moonlight tower and the spire of City Hall are both visible in the background. Pedestrians and horse-drawn carriages are in the street.

- Black and white print of a lithograph depicting a view of Detroit from the Detroit River in 1794, taken from page 367 of Silas Farmer's The History of Detroit and Michigan. In the 1889 book, the citadel, then-present Wayne Street, Ste. Anne's Catholic Church, the old council house, the brig GENERAL GAGE, and Griswold Street are labeled below from left to right. In addition to the GAGE, a pair of smaller sailboats and a canoe are in the foreground. "S. Farmer" is printed in the lower left, and a blacked out signature is printed in the lower right. "Insert from Collot map, 1796" and "From the original painting in Paris" handwritten on verso.
