- Two unidentified men in the chief's office at the new Station No. 1. The man at the desk may be Chief Hugh F. Fisher. Fisher succeeded Chief Paul Lefke, who retired in June of 1943. Similar photographs appear in the booklet "Lansing Fire Department: Dedicated to the Saving of Life and Property" which was published in approximately 1950. The brochure credits George Beak, Communications Division, and Frank Mainville, Press Photographer, for the photographs in the booklet.

- The Secretary's Office at the new Station No. 1. An ash tray on a stand is next to a chair, and there is an ash tray on the desk as well. Through the window the Goodyear automobile service station at 111 East Shiawassee Street can be seen. The Secretary's Office was located on the west side of the new building along East Shiawassee Street and the view is to the northeast. Similar photographs appear in the booklet "Lansing Fire Department: Dedicated to the Saving of Life and Property" which was published in approximately 1950. - A circa 1930 photograph showing the building of doctors Seth and Freeman Jones in the center of the image. Their building was three floors, with a garden-level entrance, and stairs to a columned porch with an upper entrance. Left to right in the photograph are: The Bauch building (10+ floors, 115 West Allegan); Union Building and Loan Association (119-121 West Allegan); the Jones building (123 West Allegan) which was also home to both Jones families; the Stratton Insurance agency (125 West Allegan); and the Industrial Bank (127-131 West Allegan). Seth Jones was an eye, ear, nose, and throat specialist. Freeman Jones was a general physician/surgeon. Gift of the Jones family.
