B-24 Liberator

All of the principal Ford war products are shown in this photograph taken on the apron at the Willow Run bomber plant. Dominating the picture is the B-24 Liberator in the background and the Ford cargo and troop glider in the foreground. The massive vehicle on the right side is the M-4 (General Sherman) medium tank which is balanced on the left side by the M-10 Tank Destroyer. Also shown are the Pratt & Whitney 2000 horsepower aircraft engine, the 500 horsepower tank engine, the anti-aircraft gun director, two versions of the M-8 light armored car, the amphibian jeep, the land jeep, universal gun carrier, Ford tractors, moto-tug, bomb recovery truck, and a cab-over engine Army utility truck. In the far background are other Ford Liberators.
