The above measurements do not reflect warp and weft directions as this fragment is not woven, it is a mass of naturally felted goat hair which is approximately 1 cm thick. Most of the fiber is deep brown but there are also a few yellowed fibers and brown/black fibers blended in. There are a few short pieces of 2-ply goat hair yarn felted to the surface as well as small pieces of yellowed wool.
