- This Bedside Table, in the collection of the Newark Museum, consists of a plain rectangular steel form with white laminate plastic top and walnut shelf 2/3 of the way down. The object is finished with round metal gliders at the feet.
There is a circular embossed silver-on-white label affixed to the underside of the top which reads: "DESIGNED BY Nelson, George / HERMAN MILLER ZEELAND, MICH (with logo at center). " There is a rectangular paper label below with patent information: "From nelson's 'STEELFRAME' line, designed 1954, #N181. "Herman Miller Trade Name: Night Stand Herman Miller Series: Steelframe Case Group Product Number: 4237-A
