- Invitation to the Independence Ball held July 4, 1831 at Woodworth's Hotel, addressed to Mary Catherine Brevoort, and dated July 1, 1831. "Mrs. Brevoort" is handwritten beneath a lithographic print of an eagle holding an "e pluribus unum," banner in its beak. "Mrs. Brevoort is again handwritten on the verso, so that her name would be displayed on top when the sheet was folded in thirds. A.S. Porter, J. Winder, I.S. Rowland, and M.F. Abbott are listed as the hotel's managers.

- Description:
- Mounted invitation to James W. Witherell to a Ball by the Officers at the Post of Detroit on the evening of the 11th inst. A printed list of names follow, "R. A. Zantzinger, C. Mellon, H. Stanton, J. Farley." The invitation is dated March 4th, 1823. On the right side there are two wax seals and and a handwritten note which reads, "Invitation to attend a Ball at the Center next Tuesday 11th March 1823, shall not attend, to be ofenced[?] 1824, March 4th."

- Description:
- Invitation to the Social Retreat Ball at the residence of Charles L. Bristol in Springwells on December 18, 1845, addressed to "Misses Janette," presumably Jeanette Marantette, cousin of Mary Ann Brevoort Bristol. The invite is printed with a decorative border with a column motif and scrollwork, credited to C. Willcox.
