- One map entitled "Guide Map of the City of Detroit." The map is printed in black ink on white paper and shows streets, street names, lots, lot numbers, address numbers at block corners, churches, ward numbers and boundaries, city boundaries, streetcar lines, and railroad lines. An alphabetical list of street names is also shown along with a list of recent street name changes. In addition, the names of former ribbon farm owners (with private claim numbers) are shown along the shoreline of the Detroit River. The map was "Published by Silas Farmer & Co., 31 Monroe Ave., corner Farmer St., Detroit," and is dated 1886.

- Map of Detroit, showing enlargements by various acts of the legislature, copyrighted 1891 by Clarence Monroe Burton. The map shows the city of Detroit split into numerous sections, indicated by different colors including red, green, brown, and tan. Each section includes text indicating the day on which the act that incorporated the section of land into the city was passed. Lines of farms and private land claims are also indicated. Fort Wayne is shown on the western side of the map.

- One "Map of Detroit." The map is printed in black, red, green, and blue ink on white paper and shows streets, street names, railroad lines, streetcar lines, parks, and cemeteries within the city limits. In addition, the names of former ribbon farm owners (with private claim numbers) are shown along the shoreline of the Detroit River. An advertisement for "Michigan Mutual Life Insurance Company" is shown in the upper left corner of the sheet. Various numbered blue stars are indicated on the map as "Convention Tents" and these may have been part of a Christian Endeavor International Convention which took place in the city in July, 1899. The map was "Published by Silas Farmer & Co., 31 Monroe Avenue, cor. Farmer Street, Detroit, Mich." at an approximate scale of 1 inch = 0.5 miles and was dated 1899.

The legend at top right indicates that asphalt roads are highlighted in blue, brick roads are highlighted in pink, granite roads are highlighted in green, macadam roads are highlighted in gray, and wood roads are highlighted in yellow. Text at top of map details the following outside runs: Fort St. West and River Road. - Ecorse, 9 miles; Wyandotte, 12 miles; Trenton, 17 miles; Flat Rock, 25 miles. - Black and white print of an etching titled "The St. Clair River and Lake," drawn by Charles Graham, from page 305 of Volume XXXII, No. 1636 of Harper's Weekly, dated April 28, 1888. The etching features 5 numbered vignettes: 1. The St. Clair River and Flats [depicting boats in tow as well as buildings and houses along the shore] 2. Star Island. 3. The Ship-Canal. 4. Catamaran Boat for Shooting Club. 5. Looking over the Flats. The verso, page 306, features an excerpt from a story titled "The Rescue of the 'Witch.'"

- Menu for Thanksgiving dinner at the Hotel Normandie in 1891. The menu is bound in light blue crush embossed paper with a white ribbon and orange wax seal emblazoned with "HN, Detroit" affixed to the cover, and was printed by Winn and Hammond of Detroit. Six pages are contained within. "Thanks Giving 1891," is printed on the third on a green background. A menu is spread across the fourth and fifth pages, listing a variety of dishes ranging from the traditional like stuffed young turkey and sweet potatoes, to stuffed mallard with jelly and fresh lobster. The menu is decorated with small green illustrations of a turkey, a stylized fish, and ten cartoonish characters seated on a long bench eating. "Carr and Reeve" is printed on the last page above a green illustration of a bunch of flowers with their stems wrapped in a ribbon.

Information about the Detroit Riding Club, the classes of competition, and the list of events, are coupled with articles about proper riding attire, horse training tips, proper positions for women horse-riders, saddle types, bitting, and driving a coach, as well as advertisements.

- One "List of Articles Deposited in the Corner Stone of the New City Hall, This Sixth Day of August, 1868." The list is handwritten in black ink on one side of a folded sheet of paper. It appears that this list was kept in separate city files and was not deposited in the cornerstone box since it was not among the items that were inventoried inside object 1961.282.001.

- Composition notebook containing the handwritten daily menus of the Detroit Club served between January 1st and March 31st, 1892. Henry Ulrich Brunner is noted as the chef on the first page. Breakfasts are listed daily. Dinners are served every day except Sunday. Free lunches are provided on Saturdays. The notebook has a brown cardstock cover, and red cloth over the spine.

- Map, "Plan of the City of Detroit," from page 80 of Mitchell's New General Atlas, copyright 1887 by Wm. M. Bradley & Bros. The map shows the City of Detroit, separated into 13 wards with green, pink, and yellow shading. The map is bound to the west by Twenty Fourth Street, to the south by the Detroit River, to the east by Mt. Elliott Avenue, and to the north by W. Milwaukee Street. In addition to roads, the map also indicates railroad lines, including Michigan Central R.R., Grand Trunk R.R., Detroit & Toledo R.R. The reverse side of the page features page 79 of Mitchell's New General Atlas, which contains a portion of a map of Michigan.
