The Water Works Park occupies a 72 acre lot of ground on Jefferson avenue, is owned by the city and partially occupied by its waterworks pumping station, has been made one of Detroit's beauty spots. The water supply is pumped through a long tunnel from Lake St. Clair to the distributing point, and the park is remarkable for its large floral clock. Printed on verso: Capitol Square Park, situated in the business district of the city, is one of the many small breathing spots which Detroit's Park and Boulevard Commission keeps beautiful the year round. It takes its name from the fact that, for several years, the building housing the Michigan offices occupied the property, before the center of government was transferred to Lansing. Log Cabin, Palmer Park. - Built on land donated to the city by Ex-Senator Thomas W. Palmer in 1893, and is situated north of the city at the extreme terminal of the Woodward Avenue car line, is one of the city's favorite breathing spots. Its center piece is a log cabin which is an exact reproduction of the home in which Senator Palmer resided when Detroit was little more than a trading post.

- Color postcard depicting the Hazen S. Pingree Monument in Grand Circus Park. Printed on verso: The Pingree Monument in West Grand Circus Park, was erected in 1904 by popular subscription. The late Hazen S. Pingree was four times Mayor of Detroit, and twice Governor of Michigan. He died June 18th, 1901, aged 60 years. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Aug 14, 1913.
