- Allen Street school was located at the southeast corner of Allen and Kalamazoo Streets at 1614 Kalamazoo Street East. The space was purchased in May 1909 and construction on the ten room school occured in February 1913. The building was expanded in April 1914 with the north half facing Kalamazoo Street and the east facing Shepard Street. Two more wings were added in October 1925 making it one of the two largest schools in Lansing with a capacity of 600-700. Contents include: Plaques and awards, staff and parent correspondence, school records, facility information, newsletters, and curriculum materials.

- In service as a school from 1913 to 2005. Two wings were added to the original 1913 structure in 1925. Photos b and d are dated May 1966. In photo c, the Tastee-Freeze, Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company, and Verne's Drugs can be seen. Six views.

- Built in 1913 and 1926. Photos are a part of the "Visual Views of the Elementary Schools in the Lansing School District" project of the Lansing Area Community Resources Workshop in cooperation with Michigan State University. It was compiled by Priscilla L. Shaver who was a teacher at Lewton School. The director was Frances B. Schneider. Each included school has a photo of the school building and playground. The album was created to aid students who were being moved to new schools in the hopes that they could use it to know where their new school was and what it would look like. Priscilla Shaver attended the 1971 Lansing Area Community Resources Workshop to aid in assembling this project.

- "School site bought 1909 - $1,000. 10-room building built 1913 cost $33,500.00. Adjacent lots were purchased 1914 for $800.00. In October 1925 two wings were added - cost $150,000.00.
