- Color print of a water color painting titled "A View of Detroit and the Straits, taken from the Huron Church June 22nd, 1804" by Edward Walsh. Hand written text underneath the title reads "Here the Americans first landed to invade Upper Canada. The Straits are three miles across. General Brock returned the compliment & took Detroit," referencing the siege of Detroit by British General Isaac Brock during the War of 1812. The view depicts Detroit from the Canadian shore. On the Canadian side, in the foreground, can be seen the Huron Church and small settlements, along with a horse drawn carriage and a man on horseback riding along a dirt trail on the left side. Across the straits, in the background, can be seen Fort Detroit, with several ships and a large American flag visible.

- Mounted enlargement of a black and white print depicting a north-facing view from the intersection of Griswold Street and Jefferson Avenue (as indicated on verso) in 1837, taken from page 457 of Silas Farmer's History of Detroit and Wayne County and Early Michigan. A horse-drawn wagon, pedestrians, and dogs are in the streets. Several storefronts have been given legible signs: "F. and C.H. Buhl," " McCormick and Moon, Hats and Caps," St. Paul's Episcopal Church, First Presbyterian Church, and Ste. Anne's Catholic Church are all visible in the background. "Copyright 1883 by Silas Farmer" printed in lower left corner. An illegible signature, presumably that of the artist William A. Raymond, is printed at the lower right. Image is mounted on heavy green cardstock.

Page 19 contains five etchings, representing "Progress in Therapeutics-The Great Establishment of Parke, Davis & Co., Detroit.- From sketches by C. Upham." The captions for the five etchings are as follows: 1. New York Office. 2. Gelatine Capsule Works. 3. Another New York Office. 4. General View of the Establishment. 5. General View of the Company's Office. Page 20 contains the continuation of an article, "Detroit, Michigan: Facts About a Busy City," from page 17 of the same Frank Leslie's Supplement. Page 20 features sections about "Hotel Wayne," "Griffin Car Wheel Company," and "Baugh Steam Forge Foundry." It also features four etchings representing the "Works of the Griffin Car Wheel Company, Detroit." The captions for the four etchings are as follows: 1. View of the Works. 2. In the 1889 book, the citadel, then-present Wayne Street, Ste. Anne's Catholic Church, the old council house, the brig GENERAL GAGE, and Griswold Street are labeled below from left to right. In addition to the GAGE, a pair of smaller sailboats and a canoe are in the foreground. "S. Farmer" is printed in the lower left, and a blacked out signature is printed in the lower right. "Insert from Collot map, 1796" and "From the original painting in Paris" handwritten on verso.

Many horse drawn carriages and pedestrians can be seen along Woodward and Fort Streets. A sign in the background of the image reads "Weber Furniture Company's Warerooms. Manufacturers & Dealers in Furniture Billiard Tables & Pianos. H Greening Co. Drygoods & Carpets." The verso depicts several other Detroit related engravings, such as a harvesting scene on D.M. Ferry & Co.'s farm, The People's Savings Bank, the Russell House, and W.B. Wesson, President of the Wayne County Savings Bank and Safe Deposit Company.
