Added in ink to the blank right panel of the postcard is the text "When I had the pleasure of giving Theodore Roosevelt a ride in a Reo Car."

Olds, who is in the darker suit in the car at the far left. The photograph is marked "W. R. M.," "Ormond," and an unclear number that may be "555." Likely this photograph was taken by a photographer or studio with the initials "W. R. M." in the town of Ormond, Florida, which is near Daytona Beach where R. E. Olds eventually owned an apartment building.
