The Island is owned by the Detroit, Belle Isle & Windsor Ferry Co., comprises 225 acres and is equipped with a Casino, Dancing Pavilion, Athletic Field, Bathing Beach and similar conveniences. Printed on verso: The Great Lakes' Most Unique Dock. One of the many attractions at Bob-lo Island. This dock was made from the former Great Lakes freighter S.S. Queenston. The superstructure was removed, the hull filled, sunk and then landscaped to make a beautiful approach to Bob-Lo. It is joined to the Island by a wide canopied cement promenade. Photo by David L. - Color postcard depicting the Inferno attraction at Electric Park, a maze housing the controversial devil statue made by Herman Menz and previously displayed outside of his home. The building is in the shape of a castle with several gargoyles of differing styles displayed on its walls. The sign above the entrance reads, "Inferno, Menz Devil." A man sits beside the gate. "No. 639 Wolverine News Co., Detroit, Mich. (Printed in Germany)" is printed on the left edge of the verso. The verso also contains a handwritten message--"Have you forgotten me? - Ruth"--addressed to Miss Ross of Cleveland. The card is postmarked August 9, 1908--over two months after the statue was removed from the park.
