- A view from one of the upper floors of the Michigan state capitol building, possibly from where Henry S. North had his office as Deputy Commissioner of Insurance. The view is to the northeast, toward the intersection of Allegan Street and Capitol Avenue. City Hall and some churches can be seen in the distance. Note on sleeve: "No. 114. June 19, 1899. 2:35 pm. Bright sun. M-m. Opr. Hat. 10 seconds Velux."

- Plaque reads: "The Bronze Bell was taken from the old Lansing Hall clock tower, when the building was torn down in 1959... It weighs 3425 lbs. - 60% heavier than the Liberty Bell. ...It was cast in 1896." It was moved to the Old Presque Isle Lighthouse after being salvaged from the demolition heap of Lansing's old city hall. The Stebbins family of Lansing owned the lighthouse and a nearby resort, and had used other salvaged materials from Lansing building demolitions to restore the lighthouse as well.
