- Photograph (and 1 copy). Black and white photo showing a view of the Detroit Edison Delray electric power plant, located on W. Jefferson Avenue at Waterman Street. The view shows a grassy field, railroad tracks, and three temporary wood buildings in the foreground. A large, multi-story brick power plant building with two exhaust smokestacks can be seen in the left background. A new power plant building with one exhaust smokestack is under construction in the right background. A man is kneeling on the railroad tracks near the lower right side of the photo and is holding a sign that shows "The Detroit Edison Company, Power House No. 2. (1st Section). Westinghouse, Church, Kerr & Co., Engineers. Sept. 25th 1909." The number, "73," is written in reverse in the lower left corner of the photo. Handwritten text on the verso shows "D73, Taken 1910, Delray Power House #1 & #2 from the northwest."

- Photograph. Black and white photo entitled "17 Employees of the Edison Illuminating Co., Detroit, Michigan. March, 1893." The photo shows 17 men who are dressed in work attire and are seated or standing outdoors. A brick building with three large windows can be seen in the background (probably the Edison Illuminating Company building on Washington Boulevard at State Street). The names of the employees are noted along the bottom of the photo as follows: "Left to right: Top Row: John A. Ash, Thomas J. Blackley, Walter J. Colladay, James W. Bishop, 'Sandy' Sharp, Henry Ford, John Dixon, Patrick Cunningham. Center Row: H. Ward Noble, George W. Cato. Bottom Row: James Sullivan, J. Eugene Lee, Wright B. Thompson, Frank T. Mather, John W. McNamara, George A Crawford, Burt Pettit." Several names are marked with an asterisk to indicate that they are deceased. A typewritten label on the verso shows "No. 68849. Those known to be living today (4/24/41) are: Colladay, bishop, Sharp, Ford, Cato, Thompson, and Mather. Those known to be dead are: Ash, Blackley, Dixon, Cunningham, Sullivan, Noble, Lee, McNamara, Crawford, and Pettit." - Photograph. Sepia-toned photo of a halftone image that is entitled, "Engine and Dynamo Room." The image shows an interior view of a 2-story power plant building which has two rows of belt-driven dynamos (left) that are being powered by a single row of steam engines (right). Handwritten text on the verso shows "Engine and Dynamo Room, Brush Electric, 1903." This power plant building may be the Foundry Street plant that was originally owned by the Brush Electric Light Company. This power plant was located on the east side of Foundry Street (now Beecher Avenue) just north of the Michigan Central Railroad track crossing.

- Black and white photo of the eastern side of one of the floors inside the Edison Building on the southeast corner of Washington Boulevard and State Street, taken during its conversion from the Edison Illuminating Company's Station A to the company's offices. An arch-shaped portion of a continuous current generator is in the center of frame. Ladders, rope, crates, and tools are scattered around it. A platform for an overhead rolling system is near the upper right corner of frame. "State St. Sta. E. Wall," and "M-4456 7-3-16." are printed along the bottom edge of the image.

- Photograph (and 1 copy). Black and white photo showing 46 guests at a dinner party that was held at the Detroit Edison Conners Creek electric power plant. The dinner was held to celebrate the completion of the plant construction. The guests are all well-dressed with the women seated in front and the men standing behind them. Most of the guests (32 men and 14 women) are identified on an accompanying handwritten diagram that is dated "3-23-53." The room has a wood plank floor and has walls that are made of small and large bricks. The lower portions of the walls are vertical, but the upper portions have a slight inward slant. The ceiling area is decorated with twisted black crepe paper that forms a tall arch. Also, it appears that a dark-colored paper has been placed along the lower portions of the walls to protect the guests' clothing when they are seated on the wooden side benches. A table with a white tablecloth and glassware can be seen on the right side of the photo. Printed text in the lower right corner shows the number, "2787," and the date, "11-28-14."

- Black and white photo of the State Street face of the Edison Building on the southeast corner of Washington Boulevard and State Street, taken during its conversion from the Edison Illuminating Company's Station A to the company's offices, from across State to the northeast. Several windows, and in some cases, the surrounding brickwork have been removed, and workers are visible inside. A construction canopy has been erected above the sidewalk along State Street. A sign for a loan office is posted on the Sun Building on the left edge of frame. In the background on the right, the Reliable Furniture and Carpet Company, the W. G. Arthur Reid Company, Mazda Lamps, and Fulmer's Cigar Store are visible on the west side of Washington Boulevard. "Main Office Progress - Reconstructing 2nd & 3rd Floor," and "M-5020 12-8-16," are printed along the bottom of the image.

Elizabeth Street can be seen in the lower right corner area of the photo. Printed text along the lower edge shows "Service Bldg. - Progress - N.E. Elev." and "10-19-27, M-18660."

- Photograph (and 1 copy). Sepia-toned photo showing a large group of workmen at Camp Geddes. The view shows a group of more than 50 workmen who are standing or seated in front of a 1-story wood frame building. A printed title along the bottom of the photo shows "Camp Geddes - Mess Hall and the Workers" with the number and the date, "M-4782, 9-18-16." Possibly, this photo was taken near the Geddes hydroelectric power plant on the Huron River near Ann Arbor. Detroit Edison began purchasing water rights and property for dam construction on the Huron River in 1905.

Sepia-toned photo showing six workers in the Station A dynamo room of the Edison Illuminating Company which was located at the southeast corner of Washington Avenue (now Boulevard) and State Street. The view shows the workmen who are seated on or standing beside two of the belt-driven dynamos that were located on the upper floor of the building. The dynamos were driven by steam engines that were located below on the ground floor. A small, oval-shaped stamp in the lower left corner of the photo shows "The Detroit Edison Company." Handwritten text on the verso shows "Dynamo Room of Edison Illuminating Co., Detroit, Mich., 1903. Lower Row (L to R): G. E. Harrison, Walter Orr, Charles Benstein. Upper Row (L to R): Aloysius J. Steinmetz, Laurence F. McHugh, Preston Chase."

The vehicle is parked beside the median on Washington Boulevard and the men are wearing heavy overcoats and hats. The vehicle is right-hand drive with the steering wheel being located on the right side. Its engine compartment is covered with an insulating blanket and the ground is lightly covered with snow. A fountain is running in the boulevard median which is creating a winter ice sculpture. The 4-story brick building in the center background area is the Edison Company building (formerly Station A of the Edison Illuminating Company) and the name is shown on a lighted sign at the corner and in stone at the top of the building. Part of St. Aloysius Catholic Church can be seen at the far left side of the photo. A date in the lower right corner of the photo shows "1-14-14." An accompanying typewritten note shows "This photograph was sent to L. C. Nanry by Jack Redfield, appliance service supervisor for Consumers Power, 9/22/58. Employees shown in truck are: driver - Joseph Henrion, passenger - Fred Lemelin."
