- Black and white photograph of a cafe within the Russell House. A dining table beneath a white table cloth is set up in the foreground to the left of center. Glassware is on the table. The table is surrounded by three chairs with leather upholstery on the seat and backrest, as well as a forth chair with a triangular seat, and a semi-circular piece that extends around the chair to serve both as the arm rests and the back rest. A china cabinet stands against the wall behind the table. A chandelier incorporating antlers as well as a carved wooden figure of a woman is hung above the table. Two other dining tables are on the right edge of the photo. The recto is signed with the initials, "F.S." "Russell House," is handwritten on the verso.

Soldiers and Sailors Monument built in 1881 at a cost of $70,000. The red building at right is the Hammond Building. The electric sign on top of building is one of the finest in the west and when in action gives a description of the famous Chariot Race of Ben Hur. - Menu for a Bankers Club of Detroit banquet held at the Russell House on April 3, 1902. The menu consists of a two leafs of beige paper bound with blue ribbon between two beige pieces of cardstock. The cover is printed with a blue engraving of a woman in a flowing robe and a Phrygian cap holding a torch and quill while leaning on a block containing the embossed gold crest of the Bankers Club of Detroit. The menu and a program of pieces of be performed by the Russell House Orchestra under the direction of L. Alberti are contained within.

- Half-folded Russell House dinner menu, dated Tuesday, October 28, 1902, printed on mustard-colored paper. The hotel's crest is printed on the cover in red. In addition to dinner options the menu also contains a program of selections to be performed by the Russell House Orchestra under the direction of L. Alberti, as well as a list of "Amusements Tonight" at nearby theaters. "Cardinal," featuring E.S. Willard is listed at the Detroit Opera House. The minstrel show of Primrose and Dockstader is at the Lyceum Theatre. Florence Bindley and Vaudeville is available at the Avenue Theatre.

- Menu and program booklet for Christmas dinner at the Wayne Hotel on Wednesday, December 25, 1907. The cover is wrapped in a sheet of onionskin paper, printed with "Merry Christmas 1907." The cover underneath bears an illustration of Santa Claus steering his sleight on the land across a snowy landscape, above an insert showing a child standing beside a fireplace. Within, the songs and dances to be performed are listed, along with a dinner menu.

Claire, Monroe and Randolph Sts., dates back to 1892, when it was built by the Brush estate. It is a modern hostelry in every way, and contains 102 rooms for guests. Handwritten message on verso reads, "Dear Mudder:- Arrived all O.K., and have had a lot of fun. Got a bit to eat + visited a moving picture show - the funniest ever. We didn't see 'Beanie'. Guess he didn't get my card. 'Nanno'" Postmarked Jul 4, 1908.

Is situated on the busy corner of Griswold Street and Grand River Avenue, and although one of the oldest, is most popular, being refitted and having one of the finest cafes between New York and Chicago. - Typewritten letter with envelope sent by George H. Woolley, manager of the Hotel Pontchartrain to William D. Purdy, in gratitude for a gift basket sent in celebration of the hotel's fifth anniversary, dated October 31, 1912. The letter is on Hotel Pontchartrain stationery, and the envelope is printed with an image of the exterior of the hotel, engraved by Gies and Company of Buffalo.

- Luncheon menu card from the Russell House, dated Thursday, July 31, 1902 with a tear-off postcard attached at the top. The card is printed on burgundy paper, with a small colorized photo of the hotel's dining room at the top beside the hotel's crest, providing the face of the postcard, and the menu printed in dark gold below. Mailing instructions, and space for addresses and stamps are provided on the verso.

- Russell House Thanksgiving dinner menu, dated November 28, 1901, consisting of two sheets of cardboard bound with twine. A hand-painted image of a pilgrim holding a pumpkin, walking with a Turkey against a snowy background is on the cover. A program of pieces to be performed by the Russell House Orchestra, as well as the menu itself are contained within. A hand-painted image of a pig's head on a plate, surrounded by a wreath containing ears of corn is on the back cover of the menu.
