- Black and white photograph of Henry and Clara Ford's neighbors on Alexandrine Avenue. Thirteen people are in the picture; nine women and four men stand to the side of a wood house, near the steps leading to the front entrance. Attached to the back of the photograph was a typewritten copy of a letter sent from Helen G. Doremus to Henry Ford stating the following: Dear Mr. Ford: Mary, Bob, and Frank join me in sending our very best wishes to you for your birthday. The enclosed snap is one I found the other day when looking through a box of pictures and I thought Mrs. Ford and you might be in it. These people were neighbors on Alexanderine Ave. I do not know all of them, but I do remember some-- perhaps you know the rest. The two ladies seated in the center (left) Mrs. Mills (right) Mrs. Green. The man and woman standing back of them are Gus Mills and Helen Mills Porter. The lady with the derby hat is Kit Green and the lady in white standing back of the hammock is Lillie Muehle. The note on the back of the picture is in Miss Muehle's writing. - Mounted sepia-toned group portrait photograph of seven uniformed firefighters. The original accession record identified two of the men standing in the top row--although it is unclear as two which exactly--as James Shea, and Timothy Callahan, and listed Richard Filbin and John O'Neil as being among the three men seated in the front. The man at the top right wears a helmet and belt identifying him as a member of Continental Company No. 8. He rests his hand on the shoulder of the men seated in front of him who wears a kepi hat and a belt also with the number "8." The two men standing in the center wear matching uniforms including firefighter belts identifying them as belong to one of the rescue companies. The both rest their hands on the shoulder of the man seated below them in the center, who wears a kepi hat, and a firefighter belt, the writing on which, "Stee[...]," is rendered partially illegible by glare. The man on the top right wears a helmet and firefighter belt which identifies him as a member of Neptune Company No. 2. A man with a kepi hat, and a rescue company belt sits in the lower right. Two helmets from Ladder Company No. 1 are positioned on the ground between the seated subjects. The photo is mounted on beige cardstock.

The groups is composed of men clad in coats, hats, aprons printed with "For Base Ball Results, The News," and newspaper carrier bags. Snow covers the ground. Signs, one on a post in the foreground and the other on a windowsill in the back, read, "Detroit Christmas Fund. Old News Boys. 'No Kiddie Without a Christmas.'" The foreground sign has been retouched to darken the text. A circled "1" has been drawn beside one of the kneeling men at the lower left.
