To the north, McFarlane Drugs at 428, Giffels Furs at 426, L & S Jewelry at 424, Eddington Rug Company at 422, and Wolverine Parking at 414-418 South Washington Avenue. - View of the same block as 2015-06-003.V6.075 but taken four year's later. Lansing Broadcasting Co. is still present in a building holding several businesses in addition to their WILS-AM radio station: Verra-Kleen Cleaners, and Baucom Barber; all used 407 as their address. Next, Vandervoort Marine Sales replaced the Dura-Chrome Dinette Co. at 417. Michigan Liquor Control Commission Retail and Wholesale Store remained at 417. A&P grocery completed the block at 425 but had received a new exterior. City Planning Division staff annotated the photo.

- National Foods was directly across North Washington Avenue from the A&P Foodstore. City Planning Division staff annotated the photo including the arrow drawn pointing to a woman walking beside a store clerk pushing a grocery cart. On the reverse is found, "The quote for arrow: 'Parks in front of National - shops at A&P.'"

- A group of unidentified staff standing outside the Robert B. Shank grocery market, most likely at 200 S. Washington Ave. Shank sometimes had multiple locations for his market in the 1890s. He died in 1900.

- H & H Wine Celler and Party Shop is seen at 434 South Washington Avenue. South of West Lenawee is Lansing Speedy Auto Wash and Service selling Sinclair oil products at 500-512 South Washington Avenue. The parking lot on the corner appears to belong to the auto wash and service center based on city directory listings. City Planning Division staff annotated the photo. The photo has a crack in the emulsion where it appears to have been folded; it is visible as a straight line.

- At Grand Avenue North, north side, looking northeasterly. From North Grand Avenue to the river, East Shiawasse Street is fully occupied by shops and stores.
