The bill reads: The United States, Dr. Benoit Chapoton 1813, April 20 -To 2 barrels cider taken by the Indians $25.00 May 2 - 1 do. vinegar $10.00 Aug 20 - 1 horse taken by the Indians $75.00 Aug 30 - 1 mare with her calf $50, 1 horse 3 years old $40.00, 100 bushels of apples $100.00, 1 field of oats containing 50 bushels $50.00 Oct 5 - 15 bushels of corn $30, 50 do. apples taken by the Am. troops $50.00 Oct 28 - 30 do. potatoes taken in my cellar by the American troops $30.00 Nov 20 - 12 hens $6.00, 1 gun/chiefpiece $5.00. $471.00 Detroit, March 23, 1824. - Head-and-shoulders portrait lithograph of Lewis Cass, by J.C. Buttre and printed by Johnson, Fry, and Company of New York. Cass is depicted in a dark suit and tie looking to the right. The oval-shaped portrait is surrounded by a border composed of scrollwork and images of an eagle perched atop a book beneath a semi-circle of stars, and of two War of 1812-era officers on horseback leading marching soldiers. Lewis Cass' signature is printed at the bottom.

- Color print of a water color painting titled "A View of Detroit and the Straits, taken from the Huron Church June 22nd, 1804" by Edward Walsh. Hand written text underneath the title reads "Here the Americans first landed to invade Upper Canada. The Straits are three miles across. General Brock returned the compliment & took Detroit," referencing the siege of Detroit by British General Isaac Brock during the War of 1812. The view depicts Detroit from the Canadian shore. On the Canadian side, in the foreground, can be seen the Huron Church and small settlements, along with a horse drawn carriage and a man on horseback riding along a dirt trail on the left side. Across the straits, in the background, can be seen Fort Detroit, with several ships and a large American flag visible.
