- J.L. Hudson trade card advertising the company's move from the Detroit Opera House building, to their new location at 141, 143, and 145 Woodward Avenue. The recto is printed with an image of a stork walking with a bag in a bag hung from his bill, a bouquet of flowers on his back, and a white peaked hat on his head. "J.L. Hudson, Clothier, Detroit Opera House Building," is printed along the top. The verso is printed with the text, "On or about April 1st we will remove to our new stores, 141, 143 &145 Woodward Ave. where we shall be pleased to receive our Friends and Customers. J.L. Hudson." "Selma" and "Beer" are handwritten on the verso in pencil.

A table in the left foreground features a special on corsets and brassieres. Varying styles of chemises, camisoles, and corsets, are displayed in the cases surrounding the upper perimeter of the department.

- Print. Sepia-toned photographic print of a window display featuring home appliances available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. A female mannequin, dressed in day wear is featuring with a Hoover Suction Sweeper Vacuum; different styles of vacuums are featured throughout the window. Signage in the right foreground reads, "Announcing A Special Demonstration Month of the Suction Sweeper, 'We have tested very well-known make of sweepers. We believe the HOOVER to be the best.' Terms of Payment may be Arranged." A War Bond poster is affixed to the top right corner of the window and features a G.I. adorned with the American flag and reads, "Over the Top For You, Third Liberty Loan." Small signage in the bottom left window foreground reads, "The J.L. Hudson Company." Editorial marks are noted throughout the recto, and notes are hand-written on the verso, "Block out Hoover in all places; cut off top and bottom and right side." Also hand-written on the verso, "Return to E.F. Wendell."

The booklet is in the format of a story about a group of children who enthusiastically playing with the toy while praising its construction, features, compact design, and safety. Hudson Company, Ninth Floor, Farmer Street Bldg., Detroit, Michigan," is printed across the center of the cover, over an image of a boy racing the wagon downhill, as other children watch.
