- Montenegrin POW's march under Austro-Hungarian guard to the rear and eventual transportation to Dual Monarchy prison camps after surrendering their weapons. The Austrians collected these prisoners after the collapse of the Montenegrin Army.

- Modern limp vellum binding, with two pairs of fastening vellum ties., Spine of a processional containing music primarily for chants for the Temporale., and Country of production suggested by instructions in Spanish on recto and verso of f. 61; verso of first parchment guard leaf contains ownership inscription “Alfonso Lopez.” Stamp reading “Newberry Library” on f. 1 verso. Joint purchase by Western Michigan University and the Newberry Library in 1996.

- 16th century gilt-tooled arabesque binding or pasteboard, with small marks on edges of boards where clasps were once attached. Binding damaged., Spine, upper cover and tail of a Book of Hours containing a calendar, gospel readings and litany., and “1542” on last main text leaf perhaps indicating the precise date of the binding.

- Elaborate marginal calligraphic border, partially hidden under frame., Laid paper (chain lines) housed in an archival barrier board frame, 445 x 550 mm; visible on one side., A single sheet, one side visible, of a religious quotation or aphorism, in Dutch, from an unknown author regarding perserverance in the Christian life. Watermark of L. V. Gerrevink (Churchill, no. 318). Related to MS 129., 7 lines of calligraphic cursive in Dutch., and Produced in Holland (based on the watermark) and dated May 2, 1755. Signed by “P.V. Winter.” Purchased by Barry Scott in the 1980s. Purchased by Western Michigan University Special Collections, from Barry Scott in 2001.
