Description:
One sepia-toned photograph of the passenger ferry, SS Columbia, under tow after its launch at the Detroit Dry Dock Company. The view shows a port side view of the hull which is being towed away from the dock. The main deck is visible along with several structural columns to be used for completion of the upper decks and cabin structures. A flag with the name, "Columbia," can be seen at the bow of the ship. Docks are visible in the foreground and shorelines can be seen in the background.
