- Sepia-toned photograph showing several men who are standing or seated on the tops of a line of refrigerated railroad cars, taken facing to the west near the Michigan Central Railroad's Junction Yard. Two ice hatches are visible on the top of the car in the foreground. The line of cars may be backing up slowly to a summit/hump. Cars or groups of cars were uncoupled after reaching the summit. Brakemen on the car or group of cars had to control the speed as they rolled to their intended track location. The view shows earth embankments and other track lines on each side of the railroad cars as well as lines of utility poles, overhead wires, and the base of a moonlight tower. The concrete overpass over Lonyo Road is in the background on the right.

- Photograph. Sepia-toned photo showing the old M.C.R.R. railroad swing bridge being removed. The view looks northwestward across the Rouge River and shows the old bridge being loaded onto barges. It appears that two barges had been partially filled with water in order to lower their freeboard elevations. The barges were then moved under the old bridge and are now being pumped out as seen by the steam-powered pumps that are operating on both barges. As the pumping continues, the rising barges will lift the old bridge off of its foundation so that it can be towed away. Many workmen are standing on the old bridge and on the two barges.

They are standing across a narrow dirt road that has several apple or fruit trees on each side. Piles of earth and groups of workmen can be seen in the right background area of the photo. Houses and buildings, probably located along River Street, are also visible in the background. A derrick and derrick-house can be seen in the right background area of the photo. After drilling, the liquid brine was pumped to the surface for processing which included evaporation of the liquid in order to produce salt.) Further to the right, there is a 2-story wood frame store which has an awning with the lettering, "Stroh's Beer," shown on top. Unfortunately, the name and/or address on the awning is not readable. - Photograph (and 1 copy). Black and white photo showing 46 guests at a dinner party that was held at the Detroit Edison Conners Creek electric power plant. The dinner was held to celebrate the completion of the plant construction. The guests are all well-dressed with the women seated in front and the men standing behind them. The room has a wood plank floor and has walls that are made of small and large bricks. The lower portions of the walls are vertical, but the upper portions have a slight inward slant. The ceiling area is decorated with twisted black crepe paper that forms a tall arch. A table with a white tablecloth and glassware can be seen on the right side of the photo. Printed text in the lower right corner shows the number, "2787," and the date, "11-28-14."
