- Dr. Janver D. Krehbiel, DVM, discusses his forty-two year career in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University, including his time as acting Dean of the college. Krehbiel describes how he became interested in veterinary medicine as a Kansas farm-boy, his path to MSU, and developing a specialty in clinical pathology. Krehbiel also talks about his role in the evolution of the college, bringing Dr. Steven Arnoczky to MSU, creating the best Veterinary Technology program in the country, and his retirement activities. - Michigan State University senior Nimesh Patel says he is majoring in social science and psychology and hopes to earn a law degree and a doctorate in international relations and finally join the foreign service. Patel talks about his Indian heritage, his parents, their emphasis on education, the sacrifices made by their families, and the professional pursuits of his sisters. Patel describes the village his father came from and says that his own visit to India changed the way he looks at the world and made him more appreciative of life in the U.S. He also talks about the adjustment to college life and socializing with students from all over the country. - Professor and turfgrass expert James Beard talks about how he began to assemble what became an extensive collection of turfgrass research from many sources, including research papers, books, academic journals, and periodicals. Beard describes some of the items that make up the collection, including his own correspondence and manuscripts and discusses some of the characteristics of grasses and their management for golf courses, sports fields, and parks. Beard says that his career allowed him to travel the world as a consultant on turfgrass and talks about his varied academic pursuits and what lead him to teach at Michigan State University in the early 1960s.

- In the second of two interviews Dale Brickner, professor in the School of Labor and Industrial Relations and associate director of the Labor Education Program at Michigan State University, talks about being active in Bloomington, Indiana politics while he taught economics and labor relations at Indiana University. Brickner also talks about running the first firefighters union institute, the summer institutes at I.U. run for a variety of unions, local and Indiana political issues involving unions, civil rights, the Equal Rights Amendment, and right to work laws. Brickner is interviewed by John Revitte, MSU professor of Labor and Industrial Relations.

- Michigan State University senior Charlette Pugh talks about her youth in Muskegon and racially divided Benton Harbor, MI, her African-American heritage, her role models, her relationships with her siblings, her high school curriculum, and growing up with parents who are black professionals in a predominately Jewish part of town. Pugh, who entered college at age sixteen, says that she wants to be a lawyer and own her own business or law firm one day.

- In an oral history interview, Robert Repas, professor emeritus of the Michigan State University School of Labor and Industrial Relations, talks about being admitted to Ruskin College in England on a trade unionist scholarship and his tour of the continent during the post war period. He decries the failure of American labor to take a truly international approach in Europe after the war because of the fear of Communist influence on unions and how little the CIO, in particular, did to assist in the rebuilding the German unions until Walter Reuther assumed CIO leadership. He also talks about his staff position at the School for Workers in Wisconsin, teaching labor history, running afoul of company owners and conservative faculty and describes his "most productive years" spent working with the American Friends Service Committee and Hugh Rickert in Philadelphia and later teaching in union schools. Repas is interviewed by John Revitte, MSU professor of Labor and Industrial Relations.

- Michigan State University senior Jamie Ringlein reflects on her hometown of Flint, Michigan, her childhood, school, and having a wide array of interests. Ringlein compares the generation of the 1960s with her contemporaries and says she doesn't see much in the way of social awareness in today's students. Ringlein talks about coming from a large family and the difficulty she had in adjusting to college life and says that she would like to have a career and children, but refuses to accept the traditional housewife role.

- In the first of two oral history interviews, Donna Zischke, former Michigan State University Director of Academic Human Resources, talks about her role as a representative of the university administration in the MSU Faculty Grievance Policy (FGP). Zischke reflects on maintaining the records of FGP, how the FGP evolved over time, and how different university provosts felt about the procedure. Zischke and interviewers Robert Banks and John Revitte discuss where records of the FGP may be located and Revitte describes what documents he has been able to uncover so far in his research. The three also talk about past faculty unionization attempts and other topics they would like to discuss in a future interview. Zischke is interviewed by Robert Banks, former MSU associate provost and associate vice president for Academic Human Resources emeritus, and professor emeritus of the MSU James Madison College and John Revitte, MSU professor emeritus of Labor Studies.
