- Sepia-toned photo mounted on a black cabinet card with gold trim bearing an image taken during the 1891 National Encampment of the Grand Army of the Republic in Detroit. Photo was taken at street level through a crowd gathered in Campus Martius facing northeast. The Michigan Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument, the Second Williams Block of the Monroe Block, and the Central Market Building are visible through the sea of hats, umbrellas, and flags. Banners have been draped from the Central Market Building. "In front City Hall, (in square) Detroit Mich, during G.A.R. meeting there (about 1889.) City crowded. Citizens took in hundreds of visitors. Soldiers Monument in background. Old Russel House, famous hotel, to right of Soldiers Monument. Papa (Geo. - Mounted, sepia-toned photographic print depicting the construction of the Central Market Building in Campus Martius on Michigan Grand Avenue or Cadillac Square. Before it stands the Michigan Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument, missing the eagle statues on its lowest pedestals. To the left of the Central Market building is McLennan and Company Dry Goods. On the opposite side is the Russell House, which also houses M. Horowitz and Company Crockery, and the Russell House Bazaar. A business advertising "wholesale liquors," is visible further down Cadillac. The photo is mounted on beige cardstock and has "1880" written on the verso.

Fort Street is visible on the far left side of the image with Michigan Avenue near the center, Woodward Avenue in the center right, and Monroe Street and Campus Martius on the far right side. The Soldiers and Sailors Monument can be seen near the lower right corner. Pedestrians, streetcars, and several horse-drawn carriages are also visible. A symbol with printed text in the lower right corner shows "Copyright 1902. By Detroit Photographic Co." The estimated date of the postcard is based upon the image depicted and is not based upon when the postcard was printed.

- Sepia-toned photographic print depicting Cadillac Square as viewed from an elevated position near Randolph Street, facing west toward Michigan Avenue. The square is filled with rows of parked early automobiles. The Pontchartrain Hotel, City Hall, the Majestic Building, the Ford Building, Dime Building, and the Michigan Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument in Campus Martius are all in view. Visible businesses include Gregg Hardware; a bar; the Gayety Theatre; the Old Kentucky Whiskey Company; the Wobrock Hotel; the American Hotel; Schroeder Paint and Glass Company; Cadillac Market; a bowling alley; McIntosh Bar; the Gregory, Mayer, and Thom Company; Home Candy Works; the Family Theatre; the Sweeney-Huston Company; Weil and Company Furniture; F.G. Clayton Company, Clothing; and Cadillac Burlesque. There are also advertisements for Calumet Baking Powder and the Ringling Brothers Circus. The word "red" above an arrow pointing to the Gregory, Mayer, and Thom Company has been added in pencil. "Gray" and an arrow have been written above City Hall. A note on the verso adds, "Gregory, Mayer and Thom Building red brick with stone trimmings," as well as "c.1913-1919."

- Black and white photo taken of Campus Martius and Cadillac Square from an elevated position on City Hall, facing west. The Michigan Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument stands in the center of the frame. Along the north side of Cadillac Square are the Second Williams Block topped with a Walker and Company sign for Goodrich Tires, Stilwill's Cafe, a candy store, the Burns Hotel, and other signs advertising Diamond Tires and Altes Lager. The Pontchartrain Hotel stands on the south side of Cadillac Square. To the west at the far end of Cadillac Square is the Wayne County Building. Three streetcars pass in the foreground, pedestrians mill about, and cars are parked in front of the Pontchartrain Hotel. "Cadillac Sq. 1914," is printed in the lower left.

- Sepia-toned photographic print from the studio of Louis James Pesha depicting a large crowd gathered in Campus Martius, for the automobile parade held as part of the Cadillaqua celebration overlapping with the Fourth of July, as viewed from an elevated position, likely at the Majestic Building, facing south. A banner, reading, "Harold Jarvis will sing of Masonic Moonlight on steamer STE. CLAIRE," "City of the Straits Lodge, Mon. July 29," and "Mon. July 29. The majority of the crowd are wearing hats, and boater hats appear to be the predominant style. Streetcars make their way through the crowd, and those headed north on Woodward Avenue carry additional passengers on their roofs. A utility pole near the Michigan Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument has become a perch for several spectators as well. American flags are hung from nearly every other window of the Pontchartrain Hotel. A large sign reading, "Conventions & Auto Bulletin" is posted above the corner of Woodward and Fort Street. To its right are several signs advertising railroad lines--Canadian Pacific, Pere Marquette, Union Pacific and Southern Pacific. This corner is also draped with flags and banners. The stretch of Woodward leading to the Detroit River is similarly decorated. "Detroit, Mich. 1907, NA 66537-B" handwritten on verso.

- Print. Mounted, sepia-toned photographic print of an event, likely a memorial for Ulysses S. Grant, following his death in 1885, held in Campus Martius around the Michigan Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument. The photo was taken from an elevated position facing southeast. The monument is decorated with banners and flags, and cloths bearing a large letter G which are fastened around the pedestals beneath the eagles. Several people are seated on a stage in front of the monument. A uniformed marching band and a row of uniformed men on horseback are also within a square around the monument circumscribed by a line of men in parade uniforms and helmets. A large crowd spreads outward which consists of well-dressed men (many in boater hats), women, and a few horse carriages. The balconies and windows of the Central Market Building, in the upper left portion of the frame are also packed with spectators, as are the windows of the neighboring building across Cadillac Square at the upper right.
