- Photograph. Sepia-toned photo showing the construction of a railroad bridge over the Rouge River. Printed text in the upper left corner of the photo shows the number, "19," and "M.C.R.R. The view is facing southwestward and shows a group of 11 workmen who have posed for the photo and are standing on top of caisson #4 or on the adjacent railroad tracks. Several factory buildings can be seen in the left background and a small portion of the Rouge River can be seen in the right background. The top of the old railroad bridge is visible near the center of the photo. Handwritten text on the verso shows "Supt. Hedrich (white hat)" and "Missouri Bridge & Iron Co., contractors; Mr. O'Conner, chief engineer."
