- Advertisement from the Detroit Stove Works promoting their "Sunbeam" model stoves. On the recto is an illustration, credited to A. Picard of Troy, New York, of a Sunbeam stove and text advertising that it is a "New self feed or base burner; with horizontal moving and dumping grate, cast iron fire pot, large ash pit" and that it is "patented 1869."

- White paper envelope addressed to "E. J. White, Esquire" of "Lapeer, Michigan" (handwritten in brown ink). The envelope has been cut with scissors along the left edge. It has a red 3-cent George Washington stamp and is postmarked "Detroit, Mich., May 19," however the year is not indicated. The back side of envelope shows an engraving of Duncan's Central Brewery, Detroit, along with black text. Langdon & Co. is shown adjacent to the brewery in the engraving.
