- Located at 1012 Walnut Street North. The original building was constructed in the 1890s and opened in conjunction with Kilborn Street School in 1891. Additions were made in 1905 and 1925. In 1930 it became a school for children with physical disabilities. Kilborn School was replaced in 1924 and in 1937 a new building was constructed. This building was equipped to handle children with orthopedic, hearing, speech, and occupational problems.

- Allen Street school was located at the southeast corner of Allen and Kalamazoo Streets at 1614 Kalamazoo Street East. The space was purchased in May 1909 and construction on the ten room school occured in February 1913. The building was expanded in April 1914 with the north half facing Kalamazoo Street and the east facing Shepard Street. Two more wings were added in October 1925 making it one of the two largest schools in Lansing with a capacity of 600-700. Contents include: Plaques and awards, staff and parent correspondence, school records, facility information, newsletters, and curriculum materials.

It was located on ten acres where the Boys Vocational School once stood on Fairview Avenue North and bounded by Grand River Avenue. Additions were made in 1954 and 1961. - Located at 3426 Cedar Street South. Everett Elementary was orginally built in the 1850s and was named for Arthur Everett. An addition was made in the 1890s but demolished in 1960 and in 1923 and 1934 more additions were introduced. A new gym was built in 1937 and a lower floor in 1939. An extra upper floor was built in 1947 before being annexed to Lansing Schools in 1950. They operated within the high school buildings for a time. Contents include: PTA Scrapbooks and historical materials, Board and PTA meeting minutes, treasury records, payroll ledgers, monthly reports, book donation acknowledgements, Progressive Education Association books, flags, awards, and banners.

- Seventeen photographs from a Lansing School District training conference on the student teacher program. The photographs were taken at the Michigan Department of Conservation Training School, located on Higgins Lake, Roscommon, Michigan. Ninety-two educators from Lansing, including Superintendent Dwight Rich and Assistant Superintendent Forrest Averill, spent three days there in April, 1949, for the conference. The photographs show the group in various configurations at the dining lodge, outdoors at lakeside or in front of buildings, or indoors participating in training sessions. None of the people in the photographs have been identified. Part of the Carl Dalrymple collection.

- This collection consists primarily of materials related to a complaint and lawsuit filed against the Ingham Intermediate School District in 1975. Also found are minutes from the Development of Learning Abilities Steering Committee, samples of educational materials, an Ingham ISD parent handbook on special education, Lansing School District report and summary on special education in the district, and an essay on the history of the MACLD by Joyce Laing. The Michigan chapter of the Association for Children with Learning Disabilities eventually became part of the Learning Disabilities Association of America, and the state chapter is known as the LDA of Michigan.
