- Large boulder was moved from the Lion’s camp Boy Scout cabin to Lookout Park for the Spanish war veterans monument. Moved by Chicago and Northwestern Railroad. Golden-Boter transferred the boulder to the park. The photograph shows a huge boulder being rolled onto a flatbed rail car. Several workmen and two men in suits and ties are posed looking toward the camera.

- Close-up view of the Bronze plaque mounted on granite boulder, the base of the monument to Spanish war veterans in Lookout Park. Plaque is in the form of a cross with a circle superimposed. On the arms of the cross are “Cuba”, “Porto Rico”, “Philippine Islands”, and “U.S.A.”. In the center of the circle are two uniformed men holding rifles standing on either side of a kneeling woman. Around the circle are the words “Spanish War Veterans, 1898-1902”. 1929

The six women, all wearing dark wool coats with fur collars, flank a large boulder with a brass plaque dedicated to the memory of World War I heroes: William Bobekowsky, Arthur De Vries, Donald Green, and Jacob Vander Leest. On each side of the boulder is piping, leading to a drinking fountain. The front entrance to the school is in the background.

- Statue place in Lookout Park. The figure of a soldier stands atop a boulder holding a rifle low across his body with both hands. The plaque in front is pictured in #258. Another plaque on the side of the monument is seen in ¾ view. Since the image appears to be reversed, as a sign saying “Keep off the Monument” is in reverse lettering, the side plaque is unreadable. Parts of two residences can be seen in the background.
