143 E. Michigan Ave.; Saline First Presbyterian Church; Presbyterian Church

Description:

South and east facades. Facing northwest.; One-and-one-half story brick Romanesque Revival church rests on a raised cut stone foundation. A tower rises from the ground between cross gables on the southeast corner and is topped with a shingled spire with four small spires at its base with triple-arched louvers beneath. A small round conical- topped tower sits on the southwest corner. Large round-arch stained glass windows on the east and south facades are a key identifying feature of this style. New porches on both front entrances of the church were constructed in 1954. Romanesque motif is continued on the interior.
