1944 Dedication of New Wing of Beyer Hospital
Photograph of September 30, 1944 dedication of the new wing of Beyer Hospital at 28 South Prospect Street, a 155 bed expansion made necessary by the influx of workers for the Willow Run Bomber Plant. Speaking at the podium was Lula May Carpenter (Mrs. Plinny B.) Skinner (1880-1963) on the role of the Ypsilanti Federated Women's Club in ensuring public support for the hospital project.
