Formally dressed men, women, and children protesting and marching on Division Avenue in front of Sinclair auto service and bearing signs: “Justice Delayed is Justice Denied, We Shall Overcome, Grand Rapids Urban League, CORE protests Bombing, CORE [Congress of Racial Equality] Says no!”. The march is response to the bombing of the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama. Doorn's Sinclair Service is listed in the 1963 Grand Rapids City Directory as being located at 530 S Division.
