Burton Memorial Tower
Albert Kahn Associates, architecture firm. Dedicated on December 4, 1936. Named for Dr. Marion LeRoy Burton, University President from 1920-1925. The carillon in bell chamber was donated in 1935 by Charles Baird, a former athletic director and University graduate of the class of 1895.

; On verso: "The 10-story Burton Memorial Tower has been a landmark on the University of Michigan Ann Arbor campus since the tower's 1936 dedication ... The largest bell in the carillon, "Big Baird," weighs 12 tons and sounds E-flat below middle C at the stroke of its 350-pound clapper.
