Description:

Building with sign, "Sheriff Sale," and, "To Let, Apply Lincoln & Co." A uniformed figure carries a musket, swords and a sceptre while another man carries out boxes of state papers to cart labeled, "C.A.A." An African American thumbs his nose while a dog relieves himself on a large box labeled "CSA Treasury."; "Entered according to Act of Congress in the year 1865 by H. & W. Voight in the Clerk's Office of the District Court for the Southern District of New York."
