Lamps; Glaze; Clay (unfired); undecorated

Light red micaceous clay with dark brown to red glaze. Base unglazed. Long rounded nozzle, flat on top. Curving sides form almost ball-shaped body set off from rim by deep groove. Rim slopes slightly toward center where it leaves large filling hole. Bottom rises to form conical projection in center. High concave base. No handle. Groove which sets off rim is unglazed (accident or design?) Unusually thick at base.
