In the background is a filing cabinet, desk, and door. The photograph was taken for Norge-Heat, a division of Borg-Warner Coporation. According to two Kalamazoo Gazette articles, dated March 7, 1946 and August 5, 1952, the Norge-Heat division of Borg-Warner Corporation was established at Ingersoll Steel and Disc Plant in Kalamazoo, Michigan in March 1946. The new engineering department was an experimental program and produced domestic heating units and, later, expanded to produce plumbing and air conditioning activities.
