Oral history interview with Elizabeth McQuigg, conducted by Sharon Carlson on November 15, 1993. McQuigg recounts her childhood coming to Kalamazoo in 1909 from Ireland, starting at WMU in the 1920s, being on the Women’s League, and her career in student teacher commuting between WMU, Battle Creek and Paw Paw training schools. She discusses the WMU buildings including the first library, her impressions of President Waldo and Dr. Seibert, various campus activities, memorable teachers, women’s physical education, and how the campus changed over the years. She retired in 1965.
