Oral history interview with Elizabeth (Waldo) Thurn conducted by Lew Carlson over the phone on November 18, 1989. Elisabeth Thurn is the second eldest daughter of former President Dwight B. Waldo. Betty Thurn recalls her early childhood, growing up in Kalamazoo, campus life as the president’s daughter, and stories of Waldo as a father and as president. She also recalls influential professors and working in her father’s office.
