Paul Pommer correspondence, 1918-01-06, World War I

Letter from musketeer Paul Pommer, addressed to the family of Gust. (Gustav) Pommer in Frankfurt, Germany. Letter is dated January 6, 1918. Envelope is decorated with the 1914 Iron Cross placed inside a laurel and oak leaf wreath. The letter greats Pommer's mother, wishing her a happy birthday, which will be on the 11th of January. He was writing it early so that it could arrive by her birthday. He says he hopes that next year he can celebrate it with her.
