Picture postcard from musketeer Paul Pommer, addressed to the family of Gust. (Gustav) Pommer in Frankfurt, Germany. Postmarked Coblenz, January 14, 1918. The postcard's illustration features a night scene: a steamboat passing Loreley, a cliff on the banks of the Rhein River. In his brief note, Pommer recognizes the beauty of the Rhein and how he enjoyed his boat ride on it.
