Letter from musketeer Paul Pommer, addressed to the family of Gust. (Gustav) Pommer in Frankfurt, Germany. Letter is dated January 17, postmarked January 18, 1918. Pommer begins by stating his package and birthday card had arrived from home and how he is happy to receive this from his family. He writes about the flooding which occurred the day prior, how there is still plenty of damage, though conditions had improved. He complains about the expense of laundry and how he has been unable to clean his clothes as a result.
