Paul Pommer correspondence, 1918-02-28, World War I
Letter from musketeer Paul Pommer, addressed to the family of Gust. (Gustav) Pommer in Frankfurt, Germany. Postmarked K.D. Feldpost, March 1, 1918. Pommer thanks his mother for her letter and the package she sent with marmalade, butter, and flashlight. He mentions that the day prior he received a large batch of letters and cards sent to Wetteren from brother Martin, brother Ernst, sister Lydia, and Anna Scherr. Pommer mentions to say hello for him to Aunt and Uncle Hulda, who are staying with his family. He thanks them for sending money. Pommer mentions how busy he is despite the rainy weather, and trouble sleeping in the conditions. He notes several persons on leave and how they were sent home. Pommer requests more writing paper and sends his family his best greetings.
