Letter from musketeer Paul Pommer addressed to the family of Gust. (Gustav) Pommer in Frankfurt, Germany. Postmarked K.D. Feldpost, March 15, 1918, hand dated March 14, 1918. Pommer reflects on how already two marches have gone by. He sent a letter early that day, and received a package with apples from his family. He also received a few hand towels, stockings and a small book. He explains how the packages helped him get through the long day’s long marches. Pommer also sent out two packages on the 12th. Adolf Uhl also sent him a card with some sermons to help him through the struggles of war. He tells his family to give his greetings to Lydia and thanks his family again for the apples.
