Paul Pommer correspondence, 1918-06-11, World War I

Description:

Letter from musketeer Paul Pommer addressed to the family of Gust. (Gustav) Pommer in Frankfurt, Germany. Postmarked Glogau, June 11, 1918. Pommer thanks his mother for her last letter, which he received the day before. He describes the hot weather and constant rain. But overall, he cannot complain about the conditions; one can buy what one needs and all resources are available. He hopes things are not too hard to get in Frankfurt. On Sunday Pommer was able to pick fruit from a tree. So, things are not so bad as they were before he arrived.
