Paul Pommer correspondence, 1918-07-06, World War I
Letter from musketeer Paul Pommer addressed to the family of Gust. (Gustav) Pommer in Frankfurt, Germany. Postmarked Glogau, July 10, 1918. Pommer thanks his brother Martin for his last letter. In response to Martin’s update on Karl Kuemmerte, Pommer mentions that Karl was in the hospital Pommer was in prior to his current location. Pommer understands that their mother has no time to write, since there is so much to do with the store. He thanks his brother for writing to him in his free time; he’s very thankful for his continual updates. He states that "Schneiders”, must have gotten very busy since everything went down. Disappoint, Pommer adds that he transferred soon. His wound is healing well, but the decision-making officials take their time. He sends his greetings their parents.
