Paul Pommer, World War I German soldier’s scrapbook, open
Accordion spine scrapbook with dark green cardboard cover. 13 x 9 ½ x 1 ½ in. Affixed to the cover is large label which reads: “Meine Stationer als Soldat im Weltkrieg 1914-1918” = My Station as a Soldier in the World War 1914-1918. Twenty-four pages are divided into seven sections, identified by a table of contents pasted inside the front cover. Scrapbook belonged to Paul Pommer, a resident of Hesse, Germany, and documents his time as a German soldier in the first World War. Contents include photographs, postcards, clippings, letters and telegrams.
