Black-and-white photograph of the Playhouse, exterior, from Asylum Avenue (vicinity of 410 Oakland Drive) through the trees. View from the northwest. The Playhouse was the home of the Western Players and location of the theater and arts productions from 1921-1942. The building was also known as the Old Eames Mill, where Manual Arts classes and auto shop at Western State Normal School were held in 1920-21. Eames Mill was acquired by Western in 1917 and demolished in 1942. A sign on the door, partially hidden by tree, reads: The Play House.
