Robert Limpus and Frederick Rogers standing in front of books, possibly the departmental library at Western Michigan College. Limpus became a member of the English faculty in 1947 and was appointed head of Basic Studies in 1956. He became Dean of General Studies in 1965 and retired in 1970. Rogers became a member of the English faculty in 1946 and was chair of the Department in 1956 until his retirement in 1971.
