Saline District Library Bronze Statues
On July 28, 1996 two bronze statues, "Girl With Flowers" and "Little Reader," were dedicated to the memory of Joan Rodman Schrandt and Lorraine Esch, respectively, two long-time Friends of the Saline District Library. The Friends of the Saline District Library and the Carl F. Schrandt Endowment Fund donated the statues to the library. Jane DeDecker, a Colorado sculptress whose works are placed at libraries, hospitals, parks, and other places throughout the United States, created the two bronze statues.; Photo courtesy Doris Kraushaar.
