Saline High School Class of 1906
Saline High School Graduating Class - 1906. Taken with Saline Union School in background. Left to right: Maud Miller (Schroen), Jenny Webb (Mieras), Ethel Sweet (Geddes), Eva Seller (Fletcher), Luella Nissley (Parsons), Ermine O'Hara (Livingston), Genevieve Barr (Martin), Ella Clark, Lula Fairbanks. Quote from a much later article in the Saline Reporter: "June 6, 1906 was a very special day in the OH Opera House. Four 'sweet girl graduates' played a double duet for the first time in Saline's history, on two pianos. They had been hauled over from Ann Arbor in a big lumber wagon by two shaggy black horses and there was much excitement over the program. The place was packed, the long stairs filled and a big crowd stood along the sidewalk across the street to hear 'Poet and Peasant Overture.'"; Identified by Eileen Austin.
