Wallace Block
Wallace Block named for stagecoach driver and land owner Daniel Wallace. First block off Michigan Avenue, east side, contained fire hall, city hall, opera house and commercial. Methodist parsonage and wooden church are visible. Wooden block burned in 1881. Rebuilt as brick in 1891.
